When you’re shopping for tables to be used in your bar, typically you can find three options to choose from. The stand up tables for the bar is one of the most common choices, which will be a great selection if you’d like to eliminate or use less stools for the space.
Also often referred to as high top bar tables, the stand up bar tables are designed to accommodate people so they can use the surface conveniently without having to sit on a stool. In general, people can still rest their elbow on the table surface even by leaning on the table.
So, how high the stand up tables for the bar usually are? Being the tallest table height options, the bar height tables are usually 41 to 43 inches high – the other two are the standard table height and counter table height.
Regardless of the name, it doesn’t mean that the stand up tables for the bar cannot be used with stools. When finding the perfect stool height, note that you’ll need to provide enough space between the seat surface and underside of your bar table. Usually, 9 to 12 inches are recommended and then deduct the number from the table height to find the ideal stool height.
